For this week's 
Thursday_Prompt. Been awhile since I've done one of these. I've just been so busy. I had something for Brand, a few weeks back, but it stalled out about half way through and I couldn't finish it.
Anyways, context for this one. Gryphons in this universe can't naturally fly and require the latent magical energy in the air to be at a high enough concentration to do it. Most of earth is below that concentration so our poor gryphon, Lily, has never had the opportunity. The 365 word challenge is always difficult and I had to do a lot of fenagling and cutting to get it to fit (there was a scene of them in a car initially that I had to entirely cut and I had a more developed ending in mind). I'm not entirely happy with the overall result because of it, but it's a cute little scene and actually got me to write something after weeks of not.

Oh, that worked so perfectly with 365 words. I will have to read that other prompt entry as I am curious about these characters. And I am definitely not surprised about her excitement regarding being able to fly... I would be happy if I could do it too, haha. Maybe there is some place with high enough density of magic for gryphons to fly all the time.
