Attaching a mechanical device like that wouldn't technologically enhance strength. The would need nanites or a sub-dermal implant. If it was nanites, there'd be no need for that weird cord thingy. Looks like a nice thing to grab and yank to me :>

There's nothing to "yank", it's embedded into his flesh.

It enhances strength via means of releasing inhibitions or something. He'll have a fuller description when he uploads it.

Nope! To my knowledge, just a cat with dog's equipment, perhaps from genetic modification or surgery or something.

If he was a hybrid, the species would say something about him being a hybrid.
