As the ring in between his evolution path, Shukemon (coming from sovreing digimon) has the ability to feel the emotions of his friends around him, and his friends can feel what he's feeling. That though risk to make him unstable or make the friend around him unstable, as his emotions can be volatile in any moment.
AS a ring in between, like Gammamon, he can technically witch between his two evolution paths, going from this form to Nocturnedramon.
THOUGH Nocturnedramon was coded to be a servant, so unlike Shukemon he won't do anything directly for his own will except survive. As opposite of this evolution line, Nocturnedramon passive is complete apathy, making him a perfect battle machine, and still due to his coding, can't be mentally controlled except from his "Master"
