Fortunately his dear mother Cordelia picked up after a few rings, a bit surprised to hear her son's voice on this number.

Cordelia: "Todd sweetie, is that you?!? Where are you honey? Who's phone is this?" She said in a surprised tone.
Todd: "Yes mom, I've missed you so much. I'm down in São Paulo Brazil, and I'm currently on my girlfriend's phone."
Cordelia: "Darlene told us what happened last night, and boy do we have some catching up to do when you get home. GIRLFRIEND!?! Pack your stuff and her if she wants to come. Stanley is sending the private jet down for you as we speak okay? Mommy loves you sweetie."
Todd: "Love you too mom, wait how did Darlene figure-" As Harufu's phone died from having not been plugged in all night.
Harufu: "Sorry hombrecito, did you call me your girlfriend? Cariño, pensé que sabías que era sólo una aventura. I'm not ready to settle down yet."
Todd: "Oh... okay then. Uh, thanks for the fun time together then." He said because he wasn't sure how to respond.
He then went back to the bar he has been working at and informed the boss that he was quitting, and then tied up some loose ends in the area before Harufu dropped him off at the airport that night.
Harufu: "Good luck little guy. Nice knowing you!"
She gave him what was supposed to be a peck on the cheek, but due to the size difference it ended up more like a sloppy one all across the side of his face. His flight home was safe. Though had he of known what was waiting for him, he would have likely wished that he had just stayed where he was.

Meanwhile, Alex's fortune had turned for the better. After the initial anger had worn off of the ladies he had married posing as his brother, most of them thought that maybe he wasn't so bad.
After all he clearly had it in him to be a good dog, and without his pocket watch he was about as dangerous as a marshmallow.
Aside from Darlene they moved out with him to his place, and just kept things going as is. Tidying up Todd's house before they left, and leaving him a note to find when he came home.
Darlene however went back to her old girlfriend Stephanie, having lost any faith or trust she had in men because of Alex's deception.
Adlai realized that while she had been programmed for Todd, she had been dutifully serving Alex this whole time and remained by his side. Ensuring he stayed on the straight and narrow.

When Todd finally arrived home, his mom informed him of everything that has gone on during the eleven months he has been gone. From Kichaa moving on and finding a good man, the monster in the woods being reformed and turned good. The change in the laws to allow for multiple partners, and the marriage under his name. As well as all the other excitement in the little town of Bakersville.
Cordelia: "So I know that's a lot to take in sweetie. You okay?" As she put her arms around him.
Todd: "Heh, well... I'm glad Alex has finally turned his life around. That's uh that's good."
Cordelia: "You want to stay here tonight sweetie? We still have the spare room by the garage."
Todd: "No, no it's alright. I'll just head home. Thanks for getting me back home."
Cordelia: "Alright sweetie, just know you can always come home if you don't feel like being alone. Your dad would be here but he's stuck in Duneshaven about the gold mine."

He then went back to his house going upstairs to his cold, empty bed and laying down for a night of restless sleep.
Todd: "I- I guess this is for the best..."
