The trio of Darlene, Xiyue, and Adlai broke the door down to get Jackie away from the potentially fraudulent corgi. Finding her riding him like a mechanical bull.
Jackie: "What the fluff are you three doing?!!" As she nearly choked him from tugging on his leash too hard.
Darlene: "This is going to sound crazy, but Jackie that's not Todd."
Jackie: "The fluff are you talkin' about? Who else would 'e be?"
Darlene: "His brother Alex, now let's get to the bottom of this." As Jackie climbed off of him.
The dog everyone assumed to have been Todd up until now: "Hey, what gives?! Can't you dames see we was having a good time?"

Darlene: "Well there's the proof. The Todd I know has never called a woman 'dame' in his life."
He then cleared his throat, letting his real voice come through for the first time in months.
Alex: "I guess the jig is up huh? But ya know, none of you fell for the little goody two-shoes. It was all me!"
Adlai: "Then if you are Alex, was that Todd I beat to a pulp?"
Alex: "Yeah but don't be actin' so sentimental. You ain't never even met the jerk. It's been me since before you got here. I'm ya master not him. Now get these two off a me will ya?"
Adlai: "What do you mean I've never met him? I was built and programmed for him."
Alex: "I'd been trying to take his place for a long time. When I found him in that hippo's trash can I hypnotized him into thinkin' he was me. Even got him to dying his paws so as to no one would be the wiser. Thanks for getting rid of him for me toots."
Xiyue: "But why would you do this?"
Alex: "Money, love, and a family... He had it and I wanted it. My act was pretty flawless I think. How'd you figure it out anyway?"
Darlene: "Little things, your singing voice included. Todd is a bass, and you are a baritone. But I think a couple of hungry big cats would gladly make widows out of us when we tell them about your deception." Alex dry gulped at the realization, before reaching for his magic watch...
Alex: "Not if I-" As Adlai snatched it from him. "Give that back now! P-please..."
Adlai: "I think not. None of that nonsense. Now then how do you undo your hypnosis?"
Alex: "In general, or a specific person? Even if I were to tell you, I don't know what you did with him."
Adlai: "I... Oh fluff, if he's alive he is somewhere in South America. Let me guess, you disabled the tracking chip in him didn't you?"
Alex: "What chip? We're chipped? Why am I just now finding that out?!?!?"
Adlai: "For an evil mastermind you don't seem too bright."
Darlene: "Wait a moment, what would happen if we just smashed your watch with a hammer?"
Alex: "NO PLEASE DON'T!!! I'll do whatever you want! Heck I had to lie and cheat to get any love and affection at all. It felt pretty nice just getting hugs from y'all." CRUNCH
Adlai: "Should I have not done that?" As the watch pieces fell from her hand.
Darlene: "Ever thought about being nice? You seemed to be doing a good job at playing nice as Todd. So you've got it in you."
Xiyue: "And we are married already... Plus he hasn't had time to be a criminal in a while..."
Darlene: "Don't tell me you are you suggesting what I think you are suggesting?"
Xiyue: "That we keep 'Todd' and let 'Alex' go? I mean he's been pretty great to us all things considered."
