The Neu Samarans (Minsk included) have become a bit jaded about the direction Schepehyrd's government is headed. Already the blockade of narrow chokepoint of stars headed coreward from the Council of Heads has been some cause for concern, but initial analysis of Schepehyrd's manufacturing capabilities showed such vessels being more than a decade away at least. Elements of their technology appears very similar to Neu Samara's fledgling starship technologies.

In one field Schepehyrd has always been ahead of Neu Samara, and that's in real-space propulsion, including advanced reactionless (TL11) thrusters.
