To Marvin, the feeling of growing bigger was almost an orgasm on its own. His muscles swelling, his frame expanding, his very being pushing out around the world and taking up more and more of its space, all of it just felt good like none other. Most days he is content to simply be bigger than his clients, sometimes a great deal so, but he rarely lets himself indulge in growing and growing and growing without limit.
One day was one of those rarities, as Marvin had a day off and a dreary cloudy sky far above him. His powers, granted to him by a certain demon a few years back, allowed Marvin to instinctually warp reality in whatever specific manner will best fulfill someone's deepest sexual desires. The exact actions he would perform varied from person to person; usually something nonsensically mundane that nonetheless somehow rewrote reality to suit the wants and needs of his target until they reached orgasm. When that target was himself, however, there was only one thing he had to do:
Stop holding it back.
I was going through the files for some old renders and found the one for this picture from years ago. I like dusting the cobwebs off of old files and cleaning them up sometimes even if I don't plan on redoing them, but for this one I got inspired to turn it into a short animation and for once I didn't let feature creep get in the way of it! I also used is as an excuse to learn how to generate and simulate cloud volumes in Houdini and render them in Unreal, which is doable but ultimately pretty tedious if you want things to interact with the clouds directly. Regardless, I think it turned out okay!
