Buck Brothers: Jasmine May (8/6/24)
I did this very late and it was an illustration of Jasmine May from
OhDeerieMay
Jasmine’s initial design was a generic deer design but with new alterations to persevere the uniqueness of the owner’s character. I have always had a hard time drawing hair on some of my characters but it took me a while to fully master it.
Now, I had to draw her without the similar formula of her without the Buck Brothers traditional boots, collar, and gloves. I did do this in a scrap design test when drawing Baby the Buck and you rarely seen him without gloves and boots which make drawing hooves difficult. Then I came up with a design formula and went to finish the illustration with her blue-green sports bra and purple shorts.
For her face, I drew her freckles with four on each side of her face. Originally, there was supposed to be three, like Baby’s due to simplicity. To keep my Buck Brothers Style, I kept her lighter part white instead of tan because of the Buck Brothers characters mostly having white fur and cheek, belly, arm, feet, and tail areas.
To use some of the white space area, I drew her in different poses and facial expressions to test to see if I could draw her again sometime.
That was Jasmine May! I hope you like it!
