I haven't gotten to it yet, but I understand there's an episode which really does feature Peg as a cave girl. Her costume is more modest on the show, obviously. This is the special little number she got for when she and Pete are alone... (And in that context, the club is just a prop, I hasten to note. Yeah, Pete could be afraid of Peg, but I don't think she actually beats him -actually, I address Pete's fear to be similar to Ralph Kramden's fear of Alice, not fear of her physically hurting him but of her leaving altogether.)
