Dunno if anything I say can help but we're not as evil as the fearmongering makes us out to be. If politics is a source of stress, maybe taking a break from it might help. It's like a drug sometimes and folks make a business out of keeping folk riled up with the drama.
Hope you feel better soon. Maybe playing a game or finding a series to binge might help get your mind off it all.

Maybe in some twisted way, it could be the only way she knows how to vent. It may not be the best way but handling that kind of situation is like handling a dementia patient sometimes.

Oof, boy is that a feel. We've had to cut contact with people over their 'political' views (read: bigoted) and it hurts every time... i used to argue with the lovely's uncle over the orange (unless we were at grambo's out of respect for her) but he changed his views on orange after grambo passed from covid

all in all, i'm terribly sorry you have to deal with that. it isn't easy...
