Cynthia Kane has lived a long, fulfilling life running and jumping through decades of marathons. Between placing in the top ten of most of her races and keeping herself in the shape to run them, she found the time and energy to raise a family of six. Some thought her crazy; but to this creature of near-boundless energy, it was just enough to keep her excited. Only once all her children grew to adulthood did she finally retire. Today, she likes long walks, whether in the streets or the parks, but while her days of racing are over, the occasional jog through town still has some thrill to it.

Cynthia is among many who benefit from mutagia, the energy with which all changes and can be changed. Its applications range from helping rebuild the world once thought to be lost, to defeating limits once imposed upon the human body. In Cynthia's case, the regular use of mutagia to heal the body merely augments regular exercise and healthy living to ensure she can continue to run till the end of her days. But while she keeps her legs moving one way or the other, she rarely discusses her racing career unless asked directly—because her accomplishments speak for themselves.

This is the first of a series of images depicting people in the "mutagian world" of Cyber Purge. With this series, I made a concerted effort to draw backgrounds rather than have everyone standing in a black void. This kangaroo character was adapted from a Second Life avatar I had posted photos of a while ago, in a fashion distinct from the premade components I used to assemble the original avatar. The aesthetic perfection of the design meant most of the changes were due to medium limitations more than anything else. I like how she came out overall.
