“In their endless walk through the lands of Eorzea and beyond its horizons the party led by White Mage Dermond Carrin in company of Knight Dragoon Alfons Bahamutson and his Master as well adoptive father Azure Dragoon Karl Bahamutson made a stop at an inn room for their worn out bodies to rest after days of travel by feet.
And much to their joy, even if the two seasoned Knights Dragoon futilely attempted to hide it as to not lose their composure because in their minds they’re always on duty, the inn room in which they logged featured a hot spring, truly what their sore bodies were in need of to make a full recovery before they continued with their trails.
But as it turned out Dermond would still have to overcome a final hurdle before he could soak his body in the thermal waters of the hot spring: the joint bulk of his two travel companions which effectively became a roadblock in the corridor that led to the hot springs.
The diminutive White Mage attempted to get through the two Knights Dragoon in order to arrive to the hot springs before them but as he soon found out his half-Lalafell body frame didn’t give him any true advantage in that pursue as the tall Ishgardian Hyur and the mountain of an Othardian Roegadyn that were his two travel companions had joined into an essentially impenetrable wall with almost no crack left for him to sneak through.
However the literal tall difficulty of this endeavour wasn’t enough to deter Dermond, who would try one time after another to make his way through any gap that he found between Alfons and Master Karl no matter how tiny it was. It certainly spoke volumes of the White Mage’s persistence if not stubbornness, and he will surely need a considerable amount of both as the two Knights Dragoon are perfectly aware of his attempts to pass through them and to prevent such a thing they actively shifted their bodies to close any gaps between them even when Dermond was just about to make it through.
After all they needed to toughen Dermond for what would come next for him once their trails led them to Ishgard of all places…
And while it was difficult to venture who would be the victor in this ‘battle’ one thing was sure, Dermond would break a sweat before he made it to the hot springs…”
