Did you know the Stellar Typhoon had its own hydroponics bay? Neither did I, until I drew this piece. Quite what the crew grow in there is beyond me, but given its proximity to a recreation area, I imagine they mainly use it as a makeshift arboretum. Or, as Blackmask and Eldridge Harris ably demonstrate, as a suitably jungle-y venue for a game of good ol' fashioned beer roulette. Meanwhile, Carla Ravenscroft stands by, presumably playing the part of the Viet Cong in this twisted wartime fantasy.
This was mainly inspired by that bit in James May's Man Lab where they tried to explain the Monty Hall Problem by playing a hundred rounds of beer roulette. Anyway, they milked the Deer Hunter homage for all it was worth, setting the whole sordid endeavour in a poundshop Vietnam mockup, the aesthetic of which I've somewhat succeeded in capturing here.
