The doctor wishing to test out an experimental variant of the collars has Cameron test it out for him.

Doc: "So how exactly are you feeling about the new changes?" He asked.
Cam: "Well I personally wouldn't of wanted to go THIS far in the direction of... Womanhood... However I do feel much! Much! Baaater!" I said beaming with enthusiasm.
Doc: "Now, I made a special collar to go along with the undergarments, it should help prevent having nearly as strong of an episode of dysphoria as you had the other day." He stated.
He handed me a collar, simular in design to the last one, however this one had a sliver heart shaped bell, and a pink strape for the collar.
Cam: "so, this will stop me from getting anxiety from dysphoria?" I asked cautiously.
Doc: "I'm nearly certain." He said plainly.
Cam: "is this experimental???" I questioned.
Doc: "Slightly. I've had doctor honeydew test an earlier model on some her drones before. So it should work as intended." He explained in a plain, confident manner.
Cam: "if i'm baaa, being a lab rat. you're paying me. deal." I said sternly.
Doc: "Of course my dear little lamb!" He reasured.
While I was apprehensive about the very concept of doctor hardwicks collars, I was much more focused on the hope that it might end up nearly as effective as the underwear I'd tried.
Doc: "Feeling better little lamb!?" He asked.
Cam: "yeah." I said with a calm smile on my face.
Doc: "Good! Good sheep!" He cooed showering me with a condescending form of affection.
I made cute little purring sound as his hand stroked my soft fluffy wool.
Doc: "Awww, its nice to see you being so cooperative!" He said, complementing my good behavior.
Cam: "shut it. i just like getting free shit. it doesn't mean i trust you." I murmered.
[b]Doc:[/b] "Yet." He promised.
Cam: "i mean its going to take alot for me to ignore you. i dunno. kidnapping me." I said bitterly.
Doc: "Good thing I have some gifts for you prepared.~" He said in a upbeat sing song tone of voice.
He gave me various articles of clothing, overalls, sweaters, skirts, dresses, accessories like bows and ribbons.
No doubt as a way to make me feeling further in debited to him...
Not that its a bad thing to owe someone!
While a part of me didn't want such cutesy and pastel attire, I was excited about the idea of trying some of it on. I mean if I was going to be stuck as a cute fluffy sheep, I might as well lean into it.
Doc: "So are you enjoying the gifts?" He asked.
Cam: "i baaauuuhh... ummmm... Yeah!" I stuttered.
Doc: "Well its good to hear that my little lamb is enjoying themselves." He said affectionately.
Cam: "th... thaank you doctor." I said in a sheepish and bashfull manner befiting of my new lot in life.
I was nothing but a soft fluffy sheep, and even if I didn't ask for this initially, maybe my new life is one where I could enjoy myself, one where I could be happier then I ever was as a human.

Well its nice to know that your happy for Them.
Though to be honest I completely understand why you'd feel uncomfortable with how the doctor is treating Them.
Since the doctor definitely is manipulating Them, They might have needed help, but the doctor did not need to lace said help with suggestions meant to make Them easier to control, or trick Them into testing out an experimental mind control device.
