When I decided I wanted to draw something for Pride this year, I had no specific ideas in mind besides it featuring Felicity Carter - one of Abby Clapton's friends, and my only transgender character so far. I'd previously established her credentials as a lifeguard, and it wasn't an enormous stretch to link that profession's flags with those of the LGBTQ+ community.
I initially wasn't sure who to partner Felicity with. It had to be someone else in Abby's social circle, who was smart enough to recognise a pride flag, but also dense enough to mistake another multi-coloured flag for one. The only person who fitted all three criteria was Lily Govender - Sam Rhys' wealthy socialite meerkat pal. So here we see her volunteering for lifeguard training, and struggling a bit with the theory...
