Just thought my profile pic needed an update as it is kinda old. With a little extra.
Not really sure how I feel about these. The shading in particular is something I generally have alot of trouble with but it'll do for now.

Well i think there's a couple things you could try:
How about a dot of white in the eyes/lenses as a specular highlight?
Also you should try shifting the hues of the shadow or highlight colors, this usually makes them more interesting.
In the other direction, you could try using more restricted pallets, like a two-color 1-bit style or 4-bit gameboy-eske look.
