I did mention at the start of the chapter I was looking into an alternate print-on-demand service, but after extensive research, I decided that upping the price an additional $30-$40 to offer on Lulu or Amazon KDP doesn't make sense. IndyPlanet seems like the only viable option for large full-color graphic novels at the moment.

Brand (in his current body) can charge it, but needs to learn how to. Like he learnt how to make it rain.
Saida is bluffing, it actually does work, she just doesn’t want to change back, since she is wants to continue learning; at the very least, she is doing so on a subconscious level.
Looking forward to seeing more of Brand & Saida’s Adventure!

Rather, I think that the orb is tuned and only reacts to the magic energy of Queztca. As you mentioned, since Saida is in Brandon's body, even though he knows how to control it, the orb itself reacts to Brandon's magic. The orb doesn't recognize his magic, and so, despite Saida's attempts his is to activate, the orb remains in an inactive state.
