It was another fine day of learning at Quack-Quack's Learning Farm. However, as with all lessons in growing up, some things came easier than others.

Today we find Ajax, the swan, trying to help Yosh figure out the fun in buttoning your own shirt. Ajax made it look so easy that Yosh could hardly wait to give it a try himself. However, to his dismay, buttoning a button was far from as simple as pushing a button. Oh, well. It looks like baggy t-shirts, shorts with strong, elastic waistbands, and shoes that slip on, or only require one to use velcro, will be in Yosh's future for a little while longer.
Fortunately, aside from trying to understand why it feels so weird to wear a loose-fitting t-shirt instead of his classic, cozy polo, Ajax is still showing great progress in his overall development. He may not like wearing Yosh's shirt as much as his polo, but he is open to giving it a try and, in the end, trying is the best way to learn and discover when you are a little one who is discovering all there is to discover in the big, wide world.

What's funny is how I have a memory of when I first had to learn how to button my pants. It comes so easy now, but I remember my dad really being dead set on me getting it right. Unfortunately, I struggled to get the button to go through the hole and got frustrated over how this lesson in putting on clothing was keeping me from playing Nintendo. <LoL!>
