2021 was a big year for the Isle of Wight Steam Railway as it marked it's 50th Anniversary in operation.

The first big event was to be 'The Last Train from Newport' where in January 1971 O2 24 'Calbourne' took three trips moving rolling stock from Newport to Havenstreet.

Due to the second Covid lockdown the event was cancelled, however 50 years to the day 'Calbourne' was seen on the webcam moving around the site at Havenstreet. The loco had just completed it's 10 yearly overhaul and was in the process of being outshopped in Malachite green, the same colour it wore 50 years ago.
