Mahina, the Owl Witch was granted certain powers when her family decided to bring her at a young age due to the Blood Moon being earlier than they expected.


It was the 17th century in some not so busy part of Europe, in the forests near the swamps far from the ancient civilization, these preparations or rather rituals were carried out in which magical powers were granted to some capable members who would have the responsibility. of carrying them, in this case the owls being exponentially the ones at the head among these species that could carry magic, having large communities in said forests, due to these powers they had a bad reputation among the other species that could not have the same capabilities anymore. whether out of envy or ignorance.


According to several groups that watched the cycles of the Moon to carry out the magic portations it was going to be sooner than expected, so several adults, mostly, were selected for the ritual, young people like Mahina could not yet. carry it due to his age.

When the night of the bloody moon arrived, they were preparing to carry out the ritual, everything was going well until several fire arrows hit several of those in the circle, apparently they were witch hunters who were approaching quickly, noticing each other. As the orange aura emanating from the torches approached them, they had to leave the area before the fire consumed the trees.


The witches attacked the hunters to make time for the others to come out, but there was a problem, because the phenomenon of the bloody moon did not occur too often and they needed more magical owls to deliver their power, Mahina was called along with several adults and young people, they hurried the rite to deliver the magic to their new apprentices, but since the transfer of magic was unstable and hasty, some were left with more of these unstable or combined powers, as happened with Mahina, she received the magic of ice and fire that were notorious along with several other powers that were not present at the moment such as the ability to decipher the runes of magic books.


The fact of receiving several powers at once could cause instability since as they advance and perfect these, another one is assigned and so on.

Once the ritual was done, the majority who were fighting to defend it fell, some were able to flee into the forest. As for Mahina, along with her parents, they went to her cabin to give her a book of magic and various provisions. They had to separate so that they would not be capture together.


Suddenly several of the hunters set fire to the cabin where they were so they had to escape from above, there they went along a route that they made above the trees, believing that they were soon going to be burned, they did not realize who had fortunately escaped...


Her parents and she went their separate ways, but not before telling her a location where she could find them when things calmed down. They told her to study the book and never lose it, so she went into the western swamps while they went to the east...
