Pre-transition Onyx.

Onyx left her upper-middle class home at 16, in both a combination of seeking out the experience of a starved artist and wanting to get away from her transphobic mother.

Thankfully, her stoner cousin had a couch she could crash on while she finished up school. While on that couch she further progressed her graffiti skills, learned how to grow her own grass, and began looking into transition (doing DIY until a health scare that eventually enabled her to get hormones through legal routes).

At 18, she bid her cousin farewell and carved out a new life in Wildeharde City, where she met her new besties; Topaz and Ruby, two girls just like her. Thus, the trio of hooligan hounds was born.

She currently resides with Topaz and Ruby in a converted house atop Cirrus Speed Garage, a car and bike tuning shop run by Ruby's friend Spencer. She bounces between oddjobs while selling weed on the side, spending most of her money on various art supplies in hopes of broadening her skills across all mediums.

Her mother tries to keep in touch, having resorted to sending her letters after being blocked on her phone. Though she knows she shouldn't, Onyx reads every single one. It seems like her mom's starting to come around, even going so far as to stop using her deadname, but only time will tell if they can reconcile.
