I'd seen most of these depicting the tiger as some kind of nightmare creature or sleep paralysis demon, but I wanted to take a different approach. I thought of the phrase, "a leopard can't change its spots" and all of its iterations. I decided to lean into the idea of someone being held down by one's own nature.
