...Still have access to the grill, and here's another one from me!
....Wait your turn
dagnabbitt!!!! *shakes fist* :p
Recipe is from https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/2.....eriyaki-sauce/
* optional
Ingredients
1 cup water
¼ cup soy sauce (*used 1/2 cup low salt soy)
5 teaspoons packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey, or more to taste
½ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon garlic powder (*used 2-3 heaping tablespoons jarred chopped garlic)
2 tablespoons cornstarch
¼ cup cold water
* 1 tablespoon sesame oil
* 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
* I have seen other versions also use at least 1/2 to 3/4 cups pureed pears, applesauce or fresh pineapple (or even a combination of all three!) to help break down the steak muscles and make the steak very tender. (This would be more "kalbi" style - especially if you were to add in a good teaspoon of gochujang as well.)
Directions
Gather all ingredients.
Combine 1 cup water, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, ginger, and garlic powder in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until nearly heated through, about 1 minute.
Mix cornstarch and 1/4 cold water together in a cup; stir until dissolved. Add to the saucepan.
Cook and stir sauce until thickened, 5 to 7 minutes.
Enjoy!
Marinate the steaks in the sauce for at least 12 hours or overnight to really develop the flavors.
Then get your grill going at 350 degrees F and cook for 5 minutes on each side and please be sure to follow the Anthony Bourdain Rule™ - that is: don't prod it, move it, poke it, or even crease, spindle and mangle it - just let it cook.
Then plate, loosely tent with tin foil and let rest for a minute or two on a plate and serve!
Enjoy!
