a little character hanging around in my head, finally out on paper. She's a hybrid between a human and a kinda anthro-dragon-ish race that's calling itself Dari right now. I should make one of these for her mom too.

She lives in a fantasy world that's still building itself. she grew up with her mother in a Dari city, and is the only hybrid known of for several generations at least. The city is designed for a flying race, and as she can't fly, she left the city fairly young. She lives in a mostly-human city and makes a living as a trade mage. ie: she's hired to use magic (fairly rare in humans, normal for Dari) to do odd jobs - mostly involving moving heavy objects or doing things REALLY fast. she's kind of the budget mage because Dari have a mixed reputation.

Her wings are useless for flight. they're mostly based on a flightless cormorant - tiny with ragged feathers. she can use the claws to hold lightweight things though.

I think there's some story hanging around for her, but I don't know it yet.
