A song I wrote over the weekend about the legendary Cadair Idris, a famous mountain with much mystical lore located in the Meirionnydd area of Gwynedd, Wales. It is said that if you journey there and sleep on its slopes, you either awaken a madman or a poet. At times the mountain is said to hold the presence of Gwyn ap Nudd and his Hellhounds, along with the dreaded Brenin Llewyd, a figure cloaked in shadow and mist that captures unknowing travelers.
English lyrics: "On thy great mountain evergreen, in thick fog I walk unseen, each step i take is as a boat in a wake, O thundering waves of inspiration! At night I lay on your side, I will not even think to hide, for even Brenin Llwyd I do not fear! And upon my waking, with the earth in a shaking, I will be granted the gift of Sight"
This piece was done more in the style of a recitation of poetry with music accompaniment. Bards of centuries past would do similar things as part of their service.
All lyrics and instrumentation were written and performed by me. Please don't judge my Welsh too harshly, I'm still learning. :P
Gear used: James Dominic D maj Low Whistle, Yamaha P-45 electric piano(as MIDI controller), and Audio Evolution recording program
