I am so in love with this.
Beautiful detail on the man's face and expression. That cat is just marvelous as well, the way you colored it just looks so realistic to me. Like that cat could exist in real life and its not just another generic feline. Big fan of peacoats too. Those clouds! How do you do them! I am still practicing my skies and landscapes but you have such a firm grasp on them. Adore the detail to everything, even the shore line and where you can see the water is receding,leaving behind wet sand. That cat though...I can't stop looking at him.








(And....wow, I only just now noticed the pipe. NOT that I am saying you need to change it or that it looks bad, but I just wanted to say it doesn't look like its sitting on his lips. Also the tangent lines of his shoulder and the underbelly of the pipe.)

Yeah, I see what you mean about the pipe. I think I can fix it by bringing the coat up a bit more behind it. The pipe is supposed to be sitting in the corner of his mouth, coming out from beneath his mustache on that side, but I think the angle's off for that. I'll probably end up do some more work on this once I'm not sick of looking at it anymore. The background could stand to be a bit more polished, too, but I didn't want to bring the focus off the man and his cat.
