why tommyknockers? i mean alien has that one scene with the chest burster, but Tommyknockers? how?

Tommyknockers has the 'becoming', in the book it describes the process of transformation as being kind of gross, like the teeth falling out. There is more than a few body horror instances in King's horror stories as well, The Shining's film adaptation having that scene of the young woman in the bathtub who becomes a decrepit hag, Thinner has not only the overweight guy losing weight but also a person who grows lizard scales and a character who gets ulchers on his face, there's also Pet Sematary, and Dreamcatcher has the 'shit-weasels' (not even kidding, that's what they're called).
