I love the lighting on this artwork. It's that moment when light wondrously streams through breaks in the clouds; this is called crepuscular rays (there's your vocabulary lesson for today). :)
AshesDrawn did a fantastic job not only on the beautiful background, but on Eligius soaring through the sky, enjoying the beauty illuminated by that light.

(It occurred to me after I posted this that the background on this also resembles a sun shower. I wonder which interpretation is correct?)
