"Out of all the oddities in this universe, Love-Bots certainly are one of them. To put it bluntly, Love-Bots are nano-machine like slimes in sets of power armor that are called “shells”, as it usually shapes and forms them. Sometimes they can be a dragon, maybe an insect, but all of them are biological machines destined to spread “God’s Love”, hence their name, Love-Bots. This usually just involved preaching of the Pillars of Creation and creating large “Worship Worlds” in which they resided on. These worship worlds having lots of temples that blacked out the sky and would act as "radio beacons" that would cycle through various musical numbers. Some of these being about the love they have for the universe, certain topics and events of the past and future, and was a massive grab-bag of songs of different genres.
Love-Bots were made during the near collapse of the Plantaran Republic and during the rapid advancements of machines and when corporations (especially the Zedepian Empire) were slowly taking over the Outer Stars. The Love-Bots were originally designed to sell more “War-Bots” by several investing corporations and why allowing for individuality and diversity of thought for robots was a terrible idea. That the Love-Bots would grow an empire and collapse within itself as a controlled experiment while the "War-Bots" reigned supreme. However, what they didn’t account for, even despite the sabotage, is how much the Love-Bots wanted to imitate their biological alien neighbors. Once having a more “humanoid” design, they began to self-replicate and quickly were mass produced by a result. In only a few days they would override all forms of their original programming and created a theocracy by the “Pillarheads”, which were Love-Bots designed after the looks of their gods.
In little under a week, the Love-Bots cultivated over 12 different worlds once thought uninhabitable, and they kept ever-expanding until they came across multiple border planets setup by independent alien factions. With the experiment growing out of control, many of the megacorps and their investors sent their War-Bots in to take down the Love-Bots. In complete shock and terror, the War-Bots, including fleets composed of several hundred-thousand machines were wiped out in only a few hours. The Pillarheads claimed complete independence from their original creators and even scrubbed their names from the book, claiming that they simply spawned from a brand-new creation myth. This myth being what many consider to be the "Creation of the Universe" and that Love-Bots were just one of the many creations created directly by the Pillars. Soon the Love-Bots would begin rapidly trading bulk excess goods and would viciously overwrite the original galactic marketplace. Not to mention the Love-Bots would also buy up planets from smaller independent factions for extortionate prices to secure their place in the universe.
The Plantaran Republic, Angel-Tech and even the Zedepian Empire was losing their footholding in the universe. That being ruled over by religious-like machines was a very possible future. The Emperor of the Plantaran Republic wanted to originally strike a deal with the Love-Bots, to help build a brand-new future and to even team up against Angel-Tech. However, in the far reaches of the galaxy one of the Emperor's main generals decided to launch a full-scale invasion on a Love-Bot Worship World and decommissioned several Pillarheads on the guise of peaceful negotiations. After that, there was no mercy as the War of Love soon began and plunged the Outer Stars into a dark age. For several hundred years there was endless warfare, and the casualties was near uncountable as entire galaxies were lost. In the end, AGNAR, the final Pillarhead of the Love-Bots had fallen and only a fractured universe remained. The only thing left of the Love-Bot's mighty empire are small remnants, and the ever-echoing sound of radio waves of songs of love that once was." ~Commander Proto

Holy cow guys, I finally did it- I finally made a species sheet relating to the Love-Bots and the War of Love that isn't entirely outdated. I felt the best way to even portray the Love-Bots and how vastly different they all are is just like... You know, making them silhouettes- I also believe this is one of the "saddest" posts I've made related to some lore related stuff in the setting-
If you want more Love-Bot stuff, make sure you check out the respected folder on my DA account
Until next time!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales Universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone.

Fun Fact: The Love-Bots are not inspired by "Protogen" or "Synths", neither of those- I keep having people make comparisons despite them having ZERO traits in common, so I have to come out and say it. No, the real inspiration for these anthro-looking machines is the song "Daisy", sung by the IBM 7094 in 1961 as it was the very first computer to sing and it was about a song of love. (Hence the inspiration for the name of "Love-Bots") Also, the very idea that "Dungeon Slimes" can fit into armor- or in this case "Power Armor"
