“It would seem out of all the members of the Chosen, Esthur is unfortunately the most controversial. She joined our ranks through Ailith, some sort of... “Gift” to the Pillars that she kept one of the “Knights of the Stars”, locked in stasis long before the War Against the Stars. Sealing Esthur away and healing her from many of her sustained wounds when she was captured and enslaved by the Cult of the Gourmand. It’s still unbeknownst to me why Ailith would go to such efforts. However, it would also seem that Esthur was not the only old-world knight she captured and experimented on, and the others were not so lucky. (I still don't like those things Ailith keeps around her, they make my skin crawl.)
Although, what’s most interesting to me is that Ailith is a Yellow Scalebold (or used to be? The strange experiments that Ailith committed gave her more of a gelatinous texture.) From Esthur’s own words, her family painted her scales to be a royal color so when the knights called for levies, she would be taken in as a squire. As the Stars had more interest in using their knights on their own people, and kobolds of yellow scales were always meant to be sacrificed. Once the time came, it would seem Esthur ran away from her duties as a knight. Only to be beaten and captured by a cult, and then sealed away by Ailith. Esthur is a terrible fighter, and I would rather stow her away from such horrors of battle. I’ll be keeping her around as a guard to the other’s dismay, believing once things get too rough, she will simply run off again...” ~Thomza Materia

Hee-Ho, howdy everyone! Today I bring you some more lore stuff, and another member of the chosen. I feel like it's been a while since we've seen some proper Kobold Artwork, I mean dragons sure, but a kobold hasn't been the focus in a week or more or so-... This will change as I continue to go back to the stars. (Links will be broken, don't have time to fix atm.)
Anyways, if you want more lore, or more information, you can always check my page.

Want to see who Ailith is? Check that out here: Members of the Chosen: Ailith
Want to see what the Stars look like and Thomza doing battle with them? Check that out here: To Slay a False God
and if you want more information on the war against the stars, check that out here: Dragon Thomza and the War Against the Stars
Until next time everyone!
Disclaimer and Copyright: These characters involved, and the artwork belongs to me, TwistedHensley. The Skin to Scales Universe also belongs to me there, TwistedHensley... You get the drill. I want to point out that this is an Epic Dark Fantasy setting with a lot of mythological and religious tones and that there is no real-life connection to any of these events, religions, characters and it is fully, grounded, in fantasy. There is no copyright infringement also intended to other forms of media as Skin to Scales is meant to be its own thing and something I've been working on for a very long time. This is the same setting where faith is a massive part of the magic system, and it is usually meant to have a very bright and colorful art style to help balance the tone. I also want to say my friend "Whitegroth" really helped when writing this character, so a thank you to them.
