I'll say it again, Genndy Tartakovsky is one of my favorite artists of all time who helped me get into drawing in the first place. The way he designs such simple, yet complex characters, how he frames all of his shots in his cartoons and animation, there's something truly magical about it. This is more or less a celebration of him, and his own work more than it is about Star Wars, at least, for me. Especially with how he portrayed General Grievous making him one of my all-time favorite characters from the series despite how little we got to see of him. I am still not a big fan of Star Wars, so I can't give out too many of my opinions on the movies or anything recent. I haven't even really watched anything produced by Disney as it never interested me. Although I did enjoy the Clone Wars cartoon though when it was on when I was younger- The 3d one. I didn't even get to watch Genndy Tartakosky's version until I was well in my mid-teens and could find it online, nor did I really know of its existence.
So, for "May the Fourth" celebration, I wanted to at the very least show my appreciation for the Clone Wars as well as a character who I feel was turned into a joke later on. When I watched Tartacvosky's work, and seeing how truly powerful the jedi was... and then seeing this machine-like monster pop up and destroy a group of them so effortlessly, it was absolutely exhilarating and built up quite a lot of tension. I feel like this post is a bit of a ramble, buuuuut... Yeah it kinda is, I finished this artwork in about half an hour-
Until next time everyone!
