Updated my book on Scottish folklore. Uploading my animal related art.
Barn Owls in Celtic folklore are all females. The first Barn Owl was made by a wizard who had initially was tasked to create a wife for a king. The woman was made out of flowers and she was the most beautiful woman in the land but she didn't love the man she was created for and she wanted to enlope with the man she truly loved and so she and her lover conspired against the king, she was punished turned into something that people would fear. She could never feel the sun on her face again, thus barn owls came to be. They are personal maids of the Witch Mother.

Went to go check this out after you mentioned it on the boar drawing. Absolutely beautiful. I love this Scottish folklore series. How you blended the feathers here and the light and dark values. These paintings have such a soft, storybook quality to them. I love how sketchy these are. It's a gesture, a memory. I'm curious, will these drawings ever be apart(or are) of a physical book?
