For Day 2 of MerMay I decided to draw Toon Mermaid from Yu-Gi-Oh, the Toon version of Red Archery Girl. Though Pegasus maybe wasn't as good of a villain as Bakura or Marik, you can't deny that he caused some grief towards the main cast in Yu-Gi-Oh, since he challenged Yugi and Kaiba back in Duelist Kingdom where everyone made up the rules as they went, it makes sense that the creator of the game would give his monsters the most overpowered, bullshit effect of- you can't kill a cartoon. One of the first Toon Monsters we see from Pegasus is the one depicted in this drawing- Toon Mermaid, and while she was quickly outclassed by other more powerful and iconic Toon Monsters like Blue Eyes Toon Dragon or Toon Dark Magician Girl, Toon Mermaid gave a taste of the uphill battle to come against one of Yu-Gi-Oh's most iconic villains.
