A wandering monk was usually never seen as an odd sight. Quite frankly, they were quite the common encounter on many a path whether they were offering prayers, healing or other such services they could offer. But there was talk of one in particular that would offer song in order to heal damaged crystals. But he was not without defenses as he also brandished two hefty looking gauntlets.
Malek was a peaceful man with a smile that would comfort travelers into inviting him to sit and rest while also asking him for stories or songs. It was in these conversations that he revealed he traveled the roads, finding and healing crystals whether it was crystals helping to power a village or crystals that enhanced a healer's magic. But as peaceful as he was, there had been a time or two where his gauntlets had to pummel foes into submission during these travels.
It was during a recent crystal healing that Malek was able to sense a strange vibration resonating from withing the crystals. It seemed the crystals along Hiramgard began to chance and soon, seemed to change within Haim to even the southern regions of Crinas. Malek feared that something ominous was happening in the world and so, he began to travel to seek out the root cause of this malevolent presence.
