I talked about something like this awhile ago on a journal... but I really hate the size of my feet for the reasons said in the comic strip.
Have tried to make my own shoes, just painting over some white ones, but its really hard to do! I need to get stencils to make acurate ilistrations and thats a pain... and makeing paper ones never work for me. so no.... I'm not done with the idea, but am loseing hope in it.
One of the arguments I made was about how we can chose to change things surgically that give us distress. My gender causes distress as my body doesn't line up, I am making changes to my body to stop that distress. Why can't we make changes to are feet for a similar reason? feels weird to say yes to one and not the other.. like I get why, 2 healthy legs are better than 2 prosthetics for over all quality of life. Shoe size isn't worth loseing the function and gaining all the hardships of prosthetics.. but feel one should be able to pick...
Or be able to make edits, ik the foot is complicated but no one will figure it out if their chicken. Id sign a waver, make ma feet smaller doc!
(oh and side rant, shoe sizes are complicated... converting them and trying to find a standard for all the sizes is just... worse than clothing ngl.)

the ones I see are painted shoes, so not scaled up kids shoes.
There still good but often not of things I want. Its fine, Ik the methods they use so might make some myself. angelus shoe paint, sand paper, re fill brushes and sealent.. its just pricey af so the stuff on etsy is often over priced.. I can by my own colors and do my own for the same price XD... Just need to save up a bit more.

I have laces, family were very determined to make me learn laces. But ye, all the shoes are bland. (some heels look cool but I don't fit into heels. Ever. Cant even by drag queen ones coz their too big. I'm this awkward size of too big for normal to small for fabulous. (Wide enough tho)
White leather tends to work best from what I read, the white picks up color well and leather stops the paint bleeding out.
Got an ok fashion sense, its called color and fun! hehe. I just go for bright stuff as it helps me seem friendlier than I am and gets others to initiate communication.

My grandma did try to no avail she did give up eventually on teaching me it jest didn’t stick
I’ve seen some crazy heels in stores it looks like they have a peg in the back as thin as a tooth pick
Back then they wanted a fortune for those I was like the poor lady who buys these is going to have more then a broken pocket book hehe

think it depend on how.. If your walking down the street normally and bought it recently there could be an argument made to sue em, but it haveing the evidence to prove it happened through normal use is unlikely to exist.. other than a witness, which only goes so far ya know.
Then there is the side of, is it worth it?
If limbs were broken and your in america, with their expensive medical stuff, maybe.. but not really in the uk. Nhs would fix ya right up so how worth it is it to try and sue? and most likely lose.
The risk of court fees isn't worth it in my books.
