Something that was supposed to be some line art practice sketches. Just some random poses that I thought to be interesting and, more or less, challenging.
I might have gotten a bit carried away while lighting the bottom two drawings. (But then I was too lazy to light the three top drawings.)
I'd like to very much thank
Snaikercait for general criticism and advice!
Side note: The Engineer's plumage design is roughly based on the northern mockingbird, the state bird of Texas.
Also, the text is English. ;)
(This practice took way too much time...)
The Avali in the three top drawings, Max (outdated design), belongs to me.
Cooki (bottom right) belongs to
Snaikercait.
The Engineer (on whom the bottom left is based upon) belongs to Valve.
The symbols for Avalian Core are taken from
Todd_Husky's Avali Lore Guide.
Avali species created by RyuujinZERO.

I'm probably completely missing the joke here, sorry, but who is "us" in this context?
Thank you for the suggestion, truly the most important argument for more pronounced snouts. Although, I personally imagine the Avali skull to be, more or less, egg-shaped. I.e. while it has a noticeable snout, the snout's bridge goes almost straight from the tip to the forehead, such that there isn't a significant "step" when examined from the side. No idea if that's really lore accurate, but I enjoy the look.
Though, I do admit that the Engineer's snout completely disappears due to his goggles. I just didn't manage to draw it much better.
(Also, thank you for the fave!)
