I know Emmet's weight seems to fluctuate about as often as Sully's species. If he's relatively thin here, it's not because he's learned the value of diet and exercise. More likely he's employed some form of Forbidden Science to shed the pounds. Whatever he uses it's not a mass-marketable product, because one of the side-effects is a compulsion to perform more Forbidden Science.
