When I posted my earlier behind the scenes drawings, I mentioned that my original idea was to show a scene from one of the comics, being 'shot' like it was a live-action production. As you may well remember, I ultimately decided that puppets made for a more interesting image. Anyway, I recently decided to have another crack at the concept, and draw something a little closer to my original idea - based on a panel in the fifth volume of the SPCM comic series (production of which is currently continuing apace, even as I type this). Alas, it seems that, like Gerry Anderson, I'm only just discovering that live actors aren't that much easier to work with than puppets.
Incidentally, a closed set is what happens when only the bare minimum crew is allowed on the set of a particular shoot - say, if they're shooting a scene involving sex, nudity or other sensitive subject matter.
