The FA6 is an advanced turboprop fighter/bomber and training aircraft used by the Kumlarin Nation of the Republic of Samensha (now the Shershaw Reclamation Government) for counter-insurgency/anti-piracy operations and training. The design is noted for its unique pusher design that gives an unimpeded field of fire in front of the aircraft. Canards provide a relatively stable platform. Observers pointed out that the plane had excellent control until its stall speed and could accelerate rapidly to its modest top speed of around 600kph. Though this configuration is stable, the tall landing gear and rear-mounted propeller are known for making things difficult on landing, requiring higher speeds and shallower angles than what pilots would have preferred.
Technically, the plane is a result of attempting to min-max performance and putting complexity only into needed parts. An interesting design decision is its exhaust is located in its winglets, which also double as rudders designed to eliminate the need for an anti-icing system on the main wings. This gives the aircraft a unique whistling exhaust note, though this is often overshadowed at maximum power with continuous sonic booms emanating from the prop. Still, this quirk only appears under emergency power when the nitrous system is engaged. The equivalent 5,000ps turboprop power is fed via a shaft to a gearbox that spins counter-rotating propellers. Fuel is a kerosene analog.
The plane also contains notable Kumlarin technology that was innovative before the arrival of the Teshkava, such as its nose-mounted radar and vacuum tube computer system computer system used for its 4x 21mm cannons. Additionally, the aircraft could carry a large ordinance load, and its ballistic computer could calculate landing points based on predetermined ranges. Later models even gained the ability to shoot the AM9 IR air-to-air missile. Additionally, it contained an early instrument landing system and an electroluminescent gauge cluster that replaced radium dials and lights. All in all, before the cataclysm, this was one of the finest Kumlarin attack aircraft.

I absolutely ADORE all the effort and detail put into this, and I LOVE the design! I quite enjoy the Curtiss-Wright XP-55 Ascender, and this reminds me of it! I've tried to kinda match that design myself when it comes to my one original sci fi world in my Will To Survive novel. I'm very glad I was on the front page when I was, because now I'm quite excited to check out the rest of your gallery and learn more about the lore of your setting and these cool designs! The mix of retro-tech and sci fi just hits all the right buttons for me! And Radio tubes!! Perfection! lol
Indeed they did, and I'm more than happy to give feedback too! I love when people put the work into their worldbuilding! It just makes the end product so much more interesting and gives it so many more levels to look in to! I adore technical specs on things, and just little details like the kerosene analog fuel are really cool! It makes me want to know what this cataclysm is, who these factions are, etc! I'm going to have to nose around the rest of your gallery for greater details later!
