Sad to say, Leo and Nigel are right about that. Unless one of them has the ability to move earth at a rapid rate, wasting hours digging graves for these bodies is more time for the Demon forces to advance on the remaining strongholds... And we do not know if the Taint left by the Demon forces may infect the land while they are buried.
It is better to just Burn the bodies and be done with it, less risk of contamination, since we do not know what the Taint of the Forces of Darkness wil do to either buried corpses or Corpses left to rot.

Miralle's Green fire consumes the taint completely IIRC. They should probably use the green flame to burn the corpses for safety.
A quote from the film Eragon seems prudent here. When Eragon wanted to bury his father figure's body, but the mentor knows they don't have time, he throws a torch into the building and declares it "A funeral fit for a King."

I suppose a knight must do their duty…
But it was also his duty to deliver that package for the tree…
What does a knight do when one duty conflicts with another?
When alone, a Knight would make their own decision.
But if a knight was part of a group, they would consult their leader.
Yes, that’s what Leo as a noble knight could do to solve this conflict of duties!
Follow the decision of the assigned leader!

Then when one decides the right course and leads them into more danger in favor of their huberis what happens to the party?
Leo needs to think critically and less like a meathead to handle the mission presented adequately. Heck, even when he came up to the podium, there were doubts from people in the crowd about his capabilities.

Whether you're a DnD 5e DM or Player, unless you're getting paid big to help bury the dead, it is a waste of time. Not to mention in times of war, wasting time digging means the enemy can sneak up on you, and due to so much digging you're exhausted now while having to fend for your life.
I don't agree with Leo's approach but I agree with his logic. It's better to move on or better yet burn the bodies, do a quick prayer and then leave. This isn't natural times with the undead lurking where they can infect the living.

Point or not he still a absolute disrespectful bastard who seriously just needs to drop dead and do this series an entire favor since he’s the one that started that mess against the leader’s orders and not even clean up his own mess.
He has no soul at this point.
He has no soul at this point.
It’s still his mess he caused. And as Sandlion points out. “ For all his grand standing claims about fighting and stopping chaos, and being a knight, he really doesn't care about the common folk. Once the fight was over and he fullfilled his desaire to prove himself, he couldn't care less about the death of those inocents. He doesn't care about their DIGNITY. They are dead, who cares? It's all the same if they are left on the road to rot and be eaten by scavengers, left as if they were trash on the side of the road, completly oblivious that their death is a tragedy and not some fault on them.”
He may have a point but he still a truly horrible self centered bastard that only gives a damn about himself. He’s better off dead with his corpse rotting on the side in an unmarked grave.

Ah but we're also dealing with some manner of corruption as well so what we really need is two piles, one of corrupted corpses that she can use her green fires on, and another of untainted corpses that can be lit on normal fire JUST IN CASE any of those bits of corruption laying around get the bright idea to go full undead or infect a plant that grows from the bodies, etc.
This page is great cause it shows Leo's character. For all his grand standing claims about fighting and stopping chaos, and being a knight, he really doesn't care about the common folk. Once the fight was over and he fullfilled his desaire to prove himself, he couldn't careless about the death of those inocents. He doesn't care about their DIGNITY. They are dead, who cares? I have to say I'm on the boys' side. And not just because it's hypocritical to argue against killing actively murderous monsters while declaring that the dead "deserve better", but that latter point can be countered in itself. EVERYONE in this world deserves better than to live in fear of the monsters that mutate the bodies of the dead into zombified weapons to kill and mutate more still. But the world just doesn't work that way; there is no means to provide "better" for everyone. You have to be able to accept what is and isn't within your power to provide what's best for as many people as possible.
Although I agree with Leo and Nigel on the issue of dealing with the dead, there's still the issue that he should have acted a little better in the end, since the way the former looks in the last panel doesn't make him look good overall, regardless that he's still right about the matter.
Leo started this mess by charging in without anyone getting to discuss options, he darn well better learn taking time for respecting the fallen (clean-up yo Mess!) is the inevitable consequence! Bury the bodies, burn them, sea-burial, anything! -as long as you take ownership of your consequences!
Unfortunately for Mira, here, Leadership doesn't mean you give the orders and everything is hunky dory. People follow the leaders that they respect or fear, and Leo holds neither for Mira. Leo also doesn't respect 'softness' in harsh times, nor does anyone respect hypocrisy.
