(I’m so going to Hell for this.)



Lately, I’ve watched a Christian cartoon about the Crucifixion and noticed that the Jesus in it reminded me of Michael (mainly the nice black hair and body type). And considering that both are really nice guys who want to help out people, Michael would have been the perfect choice to play Jesus. So, I did a little redraw of a specific moment showing Jesus carrying the patibulum through the streets of Jerusalem.

Mmmmm...
I'm mixed about this.
I don't think this is sinful outright, but it depends on the intent behind it.
Also, Jesus was more than just a nice dude (so I believe), but to each there own if they wish so.
Regardless, nice art work.

While I am not a believer, I can't imagine that I would find this sacrilegious if I was. As you say, it's the intent.

In another furry comic, Jesus was portrayed as a ram. Perhaps the Lamb of God thing.

On a technical note, perhaps a little blood from the crown of thorns?

Well, I want to keep this clean like the cartoon that inspired this. Perhaps I think too much blood would be a pain to draw (drawing liquids are tricky).

Plus, I don't want it to become a gore fest like that Jesus anime.

Agreed; I won't lie, I have thought of potraying him as a fox. Besides, what about Aslan?
