Found this old bit from my security guard days. Kind of an in-joke, but what the hell..

lol!
It's not as "in" as you wanted it to be, I'm guessing...
This reminds me of my own first day doing security. I went to the site, after being told it had a guard booth, at 5 am. Got there at 6am, with a mix of rain, snow, and something like 17 degree weather going on (with the wind factored in). I had no car at the time, so I got there by bus and train. My umbrella was almost of no help with the rain, and I was soaked from the waist down by the time I got there, and hoping for a little shelter to warm up in.
There was a guard station alright... but it was over *there* in the middle of the parking area. MY spot was out by the entrance gate. In the snow and rain. With nothing waterproof on; just a mostly wet jacket, pants and shoes. I saw there were people being let stay inside, and asked if, since I had no way of staying warm and was already wet and cold, I could be one of them. The people inside had cars, so they could be dry and warm while they watched the gate. Nope.
So here I was on my first day, freezing my ass off in the wet snow and high winds. My umbrella was no help... I couldn't keep it open due to the wind. And I slowly lost feeling in my feet and my hands, so holding it was impossible too. I stood out there for 4 hours before someone thought to come check on me. By that time, I was lightheaded, my hands and feet were pretty much frozen (I couldn't move fingers or toes), and I was prety sure ice was forming in my soaked clothes.
The manager asked me then why I hadn't sat in my car. xD I just looked at him and chattered "WHAT car?!"
Luckily, I had a halfway decent site manager. He let me sit in HIS car, and run the heat, and didn't get upset when I basically pulled off my wet shirt and jacket and socks inside his car to try to get feeling in my body again. Why didn't I quit as soon as I saw it was like that, you ask? Well... I was homeless at the time and this was my first and only break in a long time. AND it was my first day.
But yeah.. I know the feeling of being left out in the cold and dark doing those kinds of jobs. x3

I'd imagine that after the point of caring about keeping said job, it would be fun fucking with everyone just to see what it takes to get you fired.
Showing up to work dressed up as Batman
Showing up to work covered in fake blood and makeup to look like you've been shot
Walking around holding a bag with a person-shaped object inside
Walking around with a cowel and a headsman's axe
Walking around with a pike dressed as a swiss guard
Walking around dressed like a Ninja
etc.

It's the myth of the lost nightguard:
He creeps trough the shadows of the night,
he comes you to fright,
your blood will be frozen,
if it's you his ice-cold eyes have chosen,
so hide yourself and don't be loud
or his thin fingers will reach out,
to get you, there is no doubt!
It's...... THE KARNO!!!
Mwhahahahahahahahahahaha
I feel like that undead dude from "Tales from the Crypt"
