Kurama's last few days were spent being trapped inside of the hive he had inadvertently brought into existence. In that time, those surprisingly adamant bees had persuaded him into being their King for a long time. The pitt that they had dropped him in, had fully converted his chakra into honey for fueling their hive. That honey wasn't ordinary either. Under the genjutsu of the millions of bees in the hive, it received the same hypnotic properties. Kurama was trapped in it from the first moment, and even though he is nigh-invincible compared to the insects, his body was exhausted.
The hive mad slowly worn him down by using his own chakra to subdue him, and now, he was trapped in his own body as their king. It was the birth of the HiveKing Sagemode
