A Golden Crested Wyvern of Skyworld lounging in her residence.
The modern times of Skyworld, after the great wars pushing back dragons and their followers to the by then heavily fortified continent of Feywier had seen a continuing surge of urbanization and modernization establishing several entirely new cities for those dragons to inhabit who caught on with the times understanding and then developing their own science and technology.
Grey pillars and domes of raw brute concrete, their architecture is minimalist and functional, in stark contrast with the inhabitants of these structures, the shining splendour of dragonkind, live, breathing ornaments drawing focus, the great vaults and archways encompassing them.
Nearly every dragon has a few slaves or personal servants.
The role of these people is controversial, and heavily dependent on the personality of the dragon they serve. Some, especially in the rural regions, face severe exploitation, former lawbreakers condemned, held confined by the dragon who might even eat them on a whim. Urbanized, especially technology oriented dragons who had seen and experienced a lot, understanding the flow of the modern world where they depend heavily on humankind for their survival tend to be more understanding and benevolent.
With some of them, this role might even be an envied, prestigious commitment living up-close and very personal with these majestic creatures.

Skyworld - brutalism :p Might later do an exterior image of such a modern era city :)
The style in their case is an emphasis on the dragons inhabiting these places, driving focus onto them. Their world also have a couple of smaller similarly proportioned flyers, who also would use surfaces of these buildings as basking spots.
There are earlier cities from the era of the Varanen Empire (this in its heyday spanned the whole world where dragons could reach, ruled by humans), and then a different early Skyworld, which have their own styles, I am imagining these with Romanesque features - these as far as they survived the wars, are preserved.

They had a complex sign language by the time human had first arrived to their planet, but were lacking any culture of possession.
The first human civilization eventually falls due to a a stellar event, which in the contemporary times remembered as the "flipout", leaving behind ruins of great cities and infrastructure. The dragons in the decades, centuries get used to having their primitive settlements around remnants of large structures such as bridges and overpasses, using the road surfaces for basking - the present day Skyworld architecture in some ways revive those distant memories.

That's a sweet little scene right there!. Seems someone is being treated to some lovely Dragon kisses or.. could the Dragon be sneaking a little taste i wonder?.
I haven't read much into your world yet, but it sounds interesting. Something of a Sci-fi/Fantasy with the involvement of technology?. All i know for sure, is i already like this type of Dragon and how they look alot ^._.^

Thank you! It is quite probable that the dragon might indeed have some mischievous thoughts!
The Skyworld has only one short story here, however I have a few half-finished ones laying around which I might reuse later. A larger one included, with a dragon who openly is of such sorts! Feel free to message me (private note) if you like, happy to share, or just chat about these worlds ;)
