Wow, look at this Warrior Cats problem.
I own nothing but my designs.
Princess really looked up to him and saw him as a hero enough that throw a baby into that mess so it can exist and totally not be converted or at risk of wild diseases. Let's be real, she just didn't want them to keep Cloud because too many cats in that house already or something.

Honestly, Princess is canonically such a ditz I don't think she even knows what a disease is. When Fireheart/star tells her about dangerous things going on in his life, she think its on par with her humans running late to feed her. She just kinda went "This kit got the ADD so im throwing him over the fence. Catch bro"
Fireheart/star out here telling her how likely it is cats die and she's like "WOW UR A HERO" yeetus fetus. Like Cloud then gets to experience Brightheart having a big heaping meltdown and half her face missing and shit. But it's so wild she got this idea to just SACRIFICE A CHILD.
