Valentines day is not the same for many of us
Despite of people reminding us that we can be with friends if we don't have a partner
We know they are busy and scattered away with their loved ones
Leaving us in the same place, alone with ourselves.

In days like these were memories flood our mind with the people we used to care
and seeing others enjoy what we lost, its just show us how things really are
As we are bound to relive the pain each year as we crave for the old times
Where we used to be happy along with the ones we loved so much.

And despite of having new people to care for
The pain pierce our heart and mind with such force that tears comes out with
A loud scream that fills the room asking for it to stop.

People come and go, friends stay and move but memories don't
Friends stay for a time then you lost track of them over time
You don't know if they live or died, moved away or stayed
All you can see are just ghosts hunting you with the time that wouldn't never come back

They say love comes when you less expect it but we haven't expected anything in years
So burned out by emotions and betrayals that arrived with a knife
Sometimes wishing we could feel anything to carry on and accept the losts when we were the ones hurt
Or at the very leasts finish what we started as we have no room in our heart since it has been damaged long ago.
