These curtains are actually magical.
Once Jenny guides Jewel to stand behind them, they seem to have transformed. Taking the appearances of anthoromophic Mice, much to the latter's surprise.
Even their clothes are different. The Genie girl is dressed like that one famous genius mouse detective. her friend ilooks like a mouse version of Jewel's Snake Chamer friend, Beryl.
