Buck Brothers: Chelsea Softpaws in Buck Brothers (2/10/24)
Today, I decided to do another art of
bond750's Chelsea Softpaws. With her split personality, I felt like my cat design went into Chelsea's expressions.
When I started drawing her, I had a problem with her head. In the original drawing of her, her head was somewhat shield-shaped and it was a bit hard to interpret in my style because most of the Buck Brothers characters heads are bell-shaped.
To solve that problem, I added some fur on the back and her muzzle is white but not entirely white like Chad or Riley. I of course did not forget her earring and colored her eyes with my markers along with my Crayola colors. Since that I was seeing the design as a cat, I forgot to draw whiskers on her to look like an actual cat and not another animal, but however, the tail shows that she is a cat regardless.
Her split personality was easy to translate with a couple of markers, a dark and light gray Sharpie, and a red and mahogany color pencil. I drew her head lowered and giving a side glare while her claws are present.
Of course, what would be Chelsea be complete without her gum? So, I drew her holding a pack while saying, "Want a piece?" as a kindly offer. I was originally going to give her a pack of balloons, but I did not think that idea would flow well with the Buck Brothers, so I stayed with the gum offer.
But anyways, I hope you like my interpretation of her! Stay tuned! Another post will be coming up later today for the Lunar New Year!
