Under the spreading apple trees

So last weekend, my parents' old pony, Princess, passed away. Princess was about 45 or 48, and had been with us for the last 30 years or so. He taught all of us how to ride, and were all really, really sad to lose him. He was a good chap, had been plucky and bossy, and my younger siblings rode him right up till the end. My mom found him under his favorite apple tree on Sunday morning, and a funeral and burial was held that afternoon. Many tears were shed.
On Tuesday, we recieved word that a molly mule had gone through the auction at New Holland, been sold to a kill buyer, and was going to be shipped out if no one did anything. Since we had the empty stall, my parents went to fetch her, and on the way home they fell in love. Once they got her in the adjacent field, Rocky said, "meh." and Banjo fell in love! He is still quite smitten.
Welcome to the Farmily, Hambone!
I used a stock photo for the background which can be found here:

*I know Banjo looks like a camel, but his profile really is just a bit unfortunate. Not to that extreme of course, I just can't draw today.
**I have gotten to the stage where I really, really, really don't want to be pregnant any more. I'M SO TIRED. :P So fantasize with me, why don't you, about the glorious day where I'll be the only person in my body again. :D

And yay for the newest addition to the family. :)
Hambone is wonderful! She is such a love. My little sister and she are already best of friends and as soon as I can ride again, we were going to have mule adventures! So excited.
