This is a very special commission that I got from an artist on DA. She's the artist of the mangas "Aoi House" and "Amazing Agent Luna". She goes by Shiei.
This is special because.. Well, she's an inspiration for me. She managed to publish an american manga that actually looks really well done, which is a goal for me in the future. I also met her in person at a convention and got my Aoi House volume signed by her, and she also showed me in the recently released 3rd volume, my fan art was actually printed in the book. It's my greatest achievement in the manga world!
She also became my mentor for a few months, and I learned a lot from her. The most important thing was to never stop being yourself, even if you become a professional. I was thinking she would be a serious person, but instead she glomped and shared her plushie collections and made ^^ faces.


When the earthquake hit Japan, she promptly started a donation drive for them. I happily donated, as I was worried about Japan and I also would be honored to receive artwork from Shiei.

And here it is, a super adorable chibi Alex. I love how she drew Alex, the expression is absolutely perfect and I'm very happy that you can't really tell what gender she is, but that she's leaning more to the boy side.
